Enchanted Garden

This idea has been the root of my life-long fascination with modern day Japan.
I draw inspiration from watching great masters that spend their lives in repetition, practicing their technique until they become one, and street artists that stencil, spray, and sprint away to see their soul disappear by the next morning.
I draw inspiration from the woodblock printed floating garden worlds and from 4K-digital giant robot battle choreography.
I draw inspiration from the vibrant day-glo electric cities pulsating with technology, balanced by meditative gardens of water and stone.
This project is my interpretation of these ideals - melding traditional contemplative scenes using contemporary treatments and tools.
Miwaku no teien - the enchanted garden of my mind’s eye.
